We offer Learn to Ride clinics, Lessons , Half day and Full Day Rides and Overnight Rides.We pride ourselves in taking small groups (6 guests usually) at any one time so we can deliver personalised Customer Service to our guests.
Riding is usually in the beautiful Bago State Forrest where you can see wild Brumbys, Kangaroos, Lyre Birds, Echidnas, Platapus, Kookaburras and many other native Flora and Fauna.
Bush camps are a favourite in the warmer months as we camp with our horses and at night can go on wild life spotlighting walks as well as enjoying a camp fire ( depending on Fire Restrictions).
Trail ride in the beautiful Bago State Forest located in the Tumbarumba region of the Snowy Mountains.
See Brumbys in their natural habitat, unique flora, fauna and the magical Paddys River Dam.
Paddys River Dam in the heart of the mountain ash forests of the Bago Plateau was constructed as a water source for Gold Mining in the late 1800’s.
We cater for all levels of riding ability,from the absolute beginner to those with strong riding skills. Please rate your riding ability so we can ensure you are matched with the most suitable horse.
How To Evaluate Your Riding Ability
BEGINNER: A rider who has no or limited riding experience.
NOVICE: A rider who is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, comfortable and in control at the walk, can rise to the trot and can canter.
INTERMEDIATE: A rider who has a firm seat, is confident and in control at all paces, but does not ride regularly.
ADVANCED: All of the above, plus an independent seat, soft hands, riding rugulary up to six hours a day.

Upon your arrival at our base just outside of the township Tumbarumba you will be fitted out with a helmet and introduced to the team – your guides and the horses!
Catering for all abilities from absolute beginner to those with strong riding skills, Mountain Ash Trails will match you up with the best horse for you.
A short trip by car through native forests will bring you to the base camp, your home for the next five days.
The days will encompass a continental/cooked breakfast with a beautiful view and then saddling up and riding out for the day. The rides will follow trails through towering mountain gum forests and along trickling mountain streams. Along the way enjoy a freshly made lunch and try to spot the elusive wild mountain horses among the trees.
